Many people come to me for help when they have system troubles, and sometimes their troubles are catastrophic, resulting in the need to reformat and reinstall their systems from scratch.
Each and every time this happens, I try to impress upon them the idea of doing regular hard drive backups, so that if something ever happens to their computers--be it a power glitch during a write to the hard drive, accidental deletion of a required system file, a virus infection, or even a physical hard drive failure--they can simply return their computers to a time before the problem cropped up and continue using their computers as though they never had a problem at all!
For this reason, I decided to show you what I use to back up my own system, and how simple it is to do!
Remember this: Doing a backup of your operating system partition (which will be covered here) WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF STRESS and WILL get you back up and running again in MINUTES, rather than the hours--or days--that it can sometimes take for people to reformat, reinstall, and reconfigure every facet of their computer systems and software after any kind of catastrophic system or disk failure!
With this in mind, the software that I would highly reccommend that EVERYONE with a Windows-based computer gets, installs, and USES REGULARLY is:

As most people simply don't CARE about the inner workings of their computer systems--so long as they can do what they want to do--I'll be covering the two main facets of Ghost's uses here:
